As we head into 2012 we all look for opportunities to improve and for interesting ways we can add value to our lives and our families. Here at the Universal City North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce we are also taking stock of our current and future value. We hope you will join us for the many wonderful events, committees and positive participation you can bring to the North Hollywood and Universal City communities.

The year 2012 will be full of terrific local events that your Chamber of Commerce is supporting. Be sure you come to our website often in 2012 and see all the activities and events that are happening right here in our community. The Chamber looks forward to working with the other local nonprofit and for profit organizations that work tirelessly to make the NoHo area the best that it can be in this coming year.

We thank all the volunteers who have worked in 2011 and will continue to support our growth in 2012. Thank you in particular to Vic Vierek, whose leadership over the past several years has helped to see the Chamber into a new era of success. I encourage everyone to call the office and speak with our Executive Director, Michelle Gilstrap, who we are so fortunate to have working with us. Michelle brings a fresh face to our organization and we will look to Michelle and her years of Chamber experience to continue our path of growth and success. There are many others on the UCNH Chamber Board of Directors and within our community who donate hours of their time and give support to our community . . . thank you all!

As 2012 kicks off I am very pleased to be taking the helm of the Universal City North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as President. I have an open door policy and I warmly look forward to working with all of you in 2012. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to serve a special community.
