The annual Universal City North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Installation Reception installed not only the new Chamber of Commerce President, but also its new Board of Directors. In 2011, the Chamber installed Vic Viereck, CPA and Realtor, as President. The event also honored businesses and organizations that are making a difference in the Universal City North Hollywood community. North Hollywood High School and Walter Reed Middle School were recognized for their outstanding community work. North Hollywood excelled in Math and Science and their Agricultural program through Kiwanis Key Club and the Walter Reed Middle School collected money for the Relay for Life program and won the Bravo Award for their outstanding Music Program. In addition Union Bank in Studio City was recognized for their year-long program with the American Heart Association. The 2011 Board of Director were installed at The Beverly Garland Holiday Inn and Councilmember Tom La Bonge encouraged everyone to continue serving the community for another 101 years of service.
