The Chamber Governmental Affairs Committee

This committee meets the 1st Thursday of most months with the exception being in a Holiday Month, like July.  Any chamber member is invited to bring their lunch to the Chamber office at 12 noon to discuss an issue that maybe on their mind that is hindering their business.  The Chamber works with elected officials on a City, County, State and Federal level on many issues that can impact business owners.

The committee collects information from our elected officials and will go to the Board of Directors with a recommendation. Once a vote is taken a letter is sent to the elected officials stating the Board’s direction on the issue and how it will impact business in a positive or negative manner.
