“Timeshare” Takes the Hard Sell in a New Direction Weekends at the Eclectic Company Theatre Through Dec. 13
Whatever the inducement, potential buyers in a timeshare presentation are a captive audience. In his play “Timeshare,” writer/director Steve B. Green brings a dramatic twist, with the sales staff joining the captives, and an unhappy prospective customer becoming the captor. We really enjoyed the production, identifying with many pitches of the sales team and reactions of the buyers.
Eclectic Company Theatre fun. “Timeshare” writer and director Steve B. Green, UCNH Chamber editor Jo Ellen Krumm, and the Eclectic’s group sales representative Thomas Prosser. The dark comedy, taglined “Close the sale or die,” runs through Dec. 13. www.EclecticCompanyTheatre.org, or (818) 508-3003.
The play is based on Steve’s real-life experience, and we could relate. The dialog is lively and caustic, the cast is marvelous, the set and costumes ring true to life. The audience is beyond enthusiastic, with many having viewed the production over and over.
